Spent a good part of time listening
to your music, very well done Lisa.
I miss my electric guitar and amp.
I got it signed by Peter Frampton
back in 2000 when I caught wind
of it that he was signing autographs at a local music store.
This was all premeditated for the
sole reason of trying to raise
money for WHO tickets in 2000.
My brother and I wanted to do
at least 10 shows in the Northeast.
I put the guitar up on ebay with
photo of Frampton for proof of
authenticity.Well,to much of my
surprise,the guitar sold for about
$1,200.00 give or take a bit.We
decided to blow it all on one
show and got front row tix for
the Atlanta show.Then of course
we were hooked and went on to
scrape up more money to go on
and do more shows.I went on a
babble here, but I guess the point
is,I miss my guitar. And the real
reason why I dropped by was to
wish you the Happiest of Holidays
and a great New Year 2006 :O)
Keep on rockin' on Lisa!!

Aw, you should try to get another guitar, a used one. or you can get those suprer cheapies, like the 49.95
ones. It's worth a though.
Thanks for the encouraging words!
And Happy Holidays and New Years to you! xoxoLsia

Wow, I really love the three track thing. It sounds great. I had a Talent Show at my school Tuesday. It didn't go well because my amp was too quiet and the other guitarist in the band (we aren't going to play in public with this guitarist anymore, the drummer and me) is not very good. He also likes all this new punk rock stuff that I don't have really any interest in. Anway, it was kind of sad because there were a lot of teachers there and they don't think I'm as good of a guitarist as I really am because they only heard the worst we've ever played...but oh well.

nabonidus,

Oh I know Andrew won't complain about baking and presents. Except with regards to what to get me. I don't tend to give hints. I'm happy with whatever because, with the amount I have moved around, I don't actually own much. :)

You are starting to get more complex, nifty. One thing, though, your time is a bit waffley. (Is that even a word?) Do you have a metronome? If not, I recommend one of the new electronic ones that will stress different beats for different time signatures. Maybe even subdivide. You are starting to get notes and parts down, starting to build on concepts, it's now time for FEEL. (The best part in my opinion... the most fun anyways.)

Try stressing on different beats, playing behind the beat, before the beat, see if you can make it groove. Try listening to some blues and imitating the feel. Some reggae. Some ska (no seriously, you don't necessarily have to like it :) ). Try and figure out which are behind the beat, which are on the beat, and which are before the beat. I shall quiz you! :D

(But a metronome is important so you have something telling you where the beat is. No good trying to play behind the beat and all you are doing is slowing down! *grin*)

Okay, there, how about that for an exercise? See... I'm at it again. Happy Seasonal whatever. (Not saying the forbidden word lest I anger the man. :) )

Very opinionated, this girl,
(I think that's what Pete doesn't like about me)

Hey there,

Glad to have you visit the little blog I have set up.

So you want an SG, eh? There are many, many varsions. Pete's was quite special in it's own way. If you saw my blog down further, you will see mine, blurry as some of the photos are...

Good luck with all that you do, but more than luck (luck is...well, I cannot see luck)...stay well!

Merry Christmas,

Hi Dan, Merry Christmas to you,
Grampa! Ooops, I shouldn't have said that-seriously, you don't look it!
I thought your girls were younger than they are :)

And Jack, yeah, something's up with my time, and this is new. I have never had a problem with playing with anyone else, it's these unrigid, freeforming
tracks I'm making! I need to be more
on time and defined with my starting tracks, so that the tracks over it have a time to build off.If i'm off time on the original track, all the others after it are off, too!
But I kinda do want a metronome, for that starting track.
And something else :
You're only the second person I've heard say that Pete doesn't like you! My being the first! I don't think he likes me either, for pretty much the same reasons ( although I can see where I'm kind of intenselol). So we're in the same boat. :)
It's kinda sad, but remember I like you, Jack! And many others here, do too!
Happy Baking and Gift Exchanging Day! LOL

I have to say it's damn cool what you can with relatively simple tools: computer and a videocamera. And such fast development. This kind of things weren't available just a few years ago!

Well well, bakings done. A bit of experimenting: my mother decided to try rye gingerbread - not out of her own head but it was among some Christmas recipes. They tasted good - just not at all like Christmas gingerbread. More like crackers you might eat with cheese and wine. Oh well, never hurts to try. Tomorrow: sauna, Christmas meal, presents and mass at 11 pm. I'll go despite being an atheist, it's kind of part of the atmosphere. Besides, my dad is giving the sermon.

Hope you'll have a good Christmas eve!

I bet the house smells sooo good! The
smell of bread baking, my God.
Speaking of which, I understand about
going along with that stuff. I did that, too. Every year my mother in law
came to visit, and she always took me to church on sunday. She would specifically look up a church, etc. The very first time she did this, i tried to get out of it.But the pout!
After that, I went along with it, what the hell. Makes them so happy. :)All they want to do is save us.
Even aside from it being your Dad.So I understand.
Oh yeah! The sauna thing! You Finnish folks are huge on the sauna stuff! I
had a friend from Finland that I lost touch with, she told me that it's something that everyone does, frequently.
We should probably be doing that here in US.I'm sure it's really good
for you. Mentally and physically.
Probably cut down on road rage.:)
Have a nice time, I'll be doing my best to have a decent holiday. The twinkly multi-colored lights help. lolProbably affects moods or something. :)

Yep, sauna is both physically and mentally invigorating!

Speaking of atheism and going to church: I'm not especially keen to tell my dad about my thinking. I *think* he just thinks I want to keep religious things private. I'm fine with that. I don't want to upset him, and I know it WOULD upset him, because not only is he a priest but also he's a very gentle and sensitive man. But going to the Christmas mass is also kind of part of the Christmas atmosphere for me: the church full of light, candles everywhere, the Christmas hymns, the whole congregation singing etc. When we were kids, we always used to go to the 7 am Christmas day mass. That was a bit tough, for the time. But in like 2000 they introduced Christmas night mass starting at 11 pm on Christmas Eve, and it's quite nice. The hardline protestants of course condemned it as the worst kind of Catholic heresy :)

I hear you about your dad, there's no real reason to disillusion him, unless
you are going to go on an upfront soap-box-type-thing, and spew to everyone about it..Let him have his
happy little beliefs on that one. I'm saying if he prefers to believe that you are just more private but are still a Christian. Maybe he knows but
doesn't want ot confront it.
In any case, I could see leaving it alone unless he outright asks you about it sometime.
And as far as the 11pm mass, I bet it's pretty, and I wouldn't mind it.
You'd think the hard liners would
approve on the possibility of getting more people into the church, period.:)
