Damned cats. Was just improvising some more,2-track webcam stuff. The Peavey.Trying to
figure out a solo for one of my originals, one that you might recognize (or not:)
Either way,it's very distracting when your cat jumps up into your lap while you are playing.:)
I tried to let her stay because she's so cute, but it just didn't work out. I'm not playing well now anyway, it's late. But there's the Peavey in action. I'm really enjoying it! I'm still getting used to them, though. And I'm having minor amp problems.
I'm working on it.I had the amp already, a Fender.
When I bought the guitars the guy threw in some free stuff, which was really nice, including this long rubber guitar/amp chord thing. Better than the one I had already
that keep shorting out. gave me a strap, too. I noticed he gave me a discount on the Hohner after I tried to haggle. Hey, these are used guitars. So I said "How about both for xxx?" And he said "I can't but I'll throw in a few things." Which is how I got the killer guitar chord. It really is better. But I noticed after I got home that he did give me a 50 buck discount after all, which was nice! That's why I mentioned it! Ha!
I really don't think I did too badly on the deal. They are in excellent shape.:)

Glad you've got the new guitars!

Hee hee, thats cats for you. The cat was probably thinking: why the hell is she playing that silly guitar when she should be paying attention to ME! I know, I'll jump in her lap, trying to distract her! *g*

Great guitar! I'll look forward to hearing more from it!

Heehee! - cute kitty! What's his/her name? As you know, I'm a total cat lover. Your cat reminds me of one of my cats from my childhood - an all-black cat named Spook, who is STILL ALIVE (if you can believe it - he turns 20 in May) and still lives with my parents. He used to have a beautiful coat like your cat, but now he's more like a withered old rag of a thing, stone deaf, grumpy as hell, and always complaining loudly at everyone. Every time I talk to my Mom on the phone, I'm like "Is Spookie still alive??" LOL! He's really a wonderdul cat, though. I guess I'd be grumpy and complain too if I were, like, 120 years old or however many cat years he is. LOL!!

Hi Lisa,
That is nice guitar work, and I admire the determination to keep at it despite the black cutie in front of you.

Gotta love cats. We've anchored the tree in two places following last week's kitty topple party. And every morning brings about another bout of doing downward dogs around the upward cat. Whoever said that cats were aloof and anti-social never had the pleasure of being owned by one.

Cheers,
AM

Hi E.L,
Heheh,I'm trying to figure out if she does this because she likes the music, or hates it!
Here's a weird one: Every single time,
EVERY time I have cranked up Simon's
"Save Me", she has come over and tried to jump up into the chair with me. She also does this when I play the Yes Album. And Fragile.
She's 13, and these Yes albums are very familiar to her.I almost think she likes them! This is where the speakers are, So when she does
jump in my lap here, it's closest to the speakers. She never does it any other time! I think she's a rockin' girl! :)
Thanks for saying how good she looks, Mary Beth, aND you kind of helped me with worrying if she's going to be a goner soon. She seems so perky and playful and healthy, no
one ever guesses that she's 13!She plays every single day!
I'm not ready to lose her. Eeeek. I can't even think of it. I rescued
her from a trashcan, in L.A. A bunch
of feral cats were going to kill her.She was a feral runt baby.
Tarzana girl is what I called her for a long time.I know it's terrible, but that is what I call her. Girl. My boy cal is called
"Chicky-Woo-Woo" but she is simply "Girl". Thanks you guys,
xoxoLisa

Hey Anne Marie and Claire!
Don't even get me started on the tree
reconfiguration that goes on every single year for car owners that have Christmas trees. LOLOL
I so relate to this! Now I only put the tree up in the week before Christmas, when I used to be a 1st of December type. Or even right after
Thanksgiving. Every day or two, it's redecorate the tree, set it up and re-
work the branches, AAAAAH!!!!
Yep, I agree, too, my cats own me.
I am their slave.
And claire, I need to make a better video and put the Hohner in there.
I'd recommend used guitars, if you know of a reputable used guitar place in your location. They hadsome stunners. It's online, too. I'm thinking about putting up the web address for this particular place,
I've been going there for 20 years or something. I really think I got
good prices on these. Now I need a new amp. Ugh. I'm going to go get it looked at.
xoxoLisa

Hey Lisa, don't ever worry about length on my blog. I loved the post. I think you'll be getting a lengthy e-mail from me soon about how I'm feeling lately, it's nice to have someone to talk to that will listen to me. Thank you for being there.
I think I'm going to change my blog pic soon (I know, complete change of subject).

Nah, a 13 year old cat has LOTS of life left!! They live much longer than dogs, especially indoor cats. They are so spoiled rotten with free food and soft places to sleep, am I right? Ours are, that's forsure!

I hope Chicky and Girl leave Beta alone in his bowl!! LOL!

Heheh, I have a little cover I made for his bowl when I saw Chicky up there one day drinking from the bowl.
Trust me, I'm very good about making sure they have plenty of fresh water.
I think he just liked it because it tastes fishy!lol:)
I'm glad you told me that about the
life span. I really am good to her, and I make sure she plays and exercises.
She was acutally making bread on my legs in the video! That's what you don't see, she's actually doing that
kneading motion on my lap. I continue playing. But then she started cleaning herself. lol
The truth behind the music. :)

LOL! Cats will be cats, no matter what you're up to! Our older cat, Sam, does the kneading thing on my armpit every night when I'm laying in bed reading. He loves it - makes him all dreamy eyed, purring, and ready for sleep. I have to make sure his claws are trimmed properly, though, or ouch!! LOL!
