Be glad I can't listen yet as it is still the weekend...yet I doubt the song sounds or is at all as bad as you preface it to be.

I just nosed around on your other blogsite and was rather taken by events explored here: MY "WTSGD". Good lord, jimmeny cricket! Oops.

Um, I could tell you a story about a mess of bugs. Not for here my dear. This, here, is your present future. Your music.

Nah, it's an attempt at a Zep cover, from Presence."For Your Life."
I have no idea what the chords or even the words are! lol
This is all by sound, which is part of why I'm pleased with it. I like how I'm morphing it. Ugh, the circumstances suck! Unbelievable.
I even live in a flight path.lol :)

Hey Thanks MB!
It's funny though, because I realized that it's really hard to figure out what robert Plant is singing a lot of the time. And the lyrics one finds on the web don't quite get it eitherlolol.
I was going to yank this clip, the "second thoughts" demon came around.
But then I got your post just now,
so it's staying! It's like a sign from the universe.:)xoxoLisa

Note: TBWHM only comments on tech issues, and not in reply to the responses to his text. Therefore, maybe try, if you want, sending a tech question like (as he won't answer me): why not make a Quicktime ppv for the Christmas Special?

See what happens!

I'm glad I can give you confidence! :) Hey, we can all have our own interpretations of songs if we can't exactly make them out from listening to them. It just makes each artist's work unique!

That reminds me of something funny - you know the song 'Blinded by the Light' sung my Manfred Mann - one time the morning people on the radio were trying to figure out the lyrics, and thought it was "Revved up like a douche" LOL!! Finally someone came on and told them it was 'Revved up like a deuce' to put them out of their misery!! How embarassing for live radio. I think that song must have the most misheard lyrics ever.

nabonidus,

Go to the Google search engine, type in the name of the song and the word "lyrics", hit search.

Always check more than one website, because quite frequently there are discrepancies.

This is a heck of a lot easier than trying to figure it all out yourself! :)

(Oh, and sometimes if the name of the song is a common one, it helps to put the artist/band in there as well)

Heh, that's the funny part, jack, I did look these up!LOL
Robert Plant, even when I have the lyrics in front of me, they still don't quite sound right.lol
I think this wound up being someone's
"speculation" and I need to look from a more "official" source.lol
You should hear some of the things I think RP is singing in "Song Remains the same. The live album, not the song.
Such as ( and this is true I swear):
" Oooh your Father's been so dismal-
swimmin' in bogies dry"
LOLOL I'm not kidding. I ALWAYS
sang that during the live Dazed
and Confused.
Never even really thought about it.
Just automatically sang " Ooh your father's been so dismal, swimmin in bogies dry."lolol
The first time my friend heard it, he laughed so hard he almost puked.
But he had to admit, that's what it sounds like! I'm so silly sometimes. :)
I wish I could track that down and play it for you, that exact moment
in the song.:)

No, Marybeth, according to everyone in my old neighborhood when I was a kid it was
"Wrapped up like a douche (unto the rumor in the night)" lol
Same basic idea, though. But it's funny, I almost think that must be some universal thing with that song.
In fact,I could picture people of all different languages singing that, and all using the word "douche" and screwing it up in the same part.:)

Having the right lyrics for a cover hardly seem necessary to me, but that's just me, reference 'The Third Reich 'n' Roll' not that you're anything like The Residents. My point is to make the song your own.

Hi Molly and KR,
Thanks for the encouragement, you know it means a lot.xoxoLisa
And Ticharu,
Heh, the Residents. Haven't heard them
in a long time.I noticed you had them
as a fave, that's cool. :)
I almost can agree with you on this, except that the mumbling was the wrong move. Probably wouldn't matter what I said, word-wise, as long as I didn't mumble them.xoxoLsia

I got the guitar from Musicians Friend finally. After I was contacted by a Director who must have did a little research and realized they were going to lose a good customer. They sent it overnight and the guitar was free. It is awesome unplugged or amped. I will be adjusting the neck some, but other than that, I really like it. They lowered the price again to $199 on their site. Do a search on
Dean Performer Acoustic-Electric Guitar
Product #519793

I got the Tigers Eye color. For a retail price of $750, it is a good buy at $199. Just gotta hope Fedex doesn't lose it.

I like your cover. Plant is not the easiest vocalist to follow, but I have to say I prefer your voice to his. Nice job.

Thanks, Anne Marie! That's a particularly awesome compliment!
Actually, I know what you mean about RP's voice. The tendency to get screechy, etc. I think that's a part of why I've done so many Zep covers.
I like putting my own voice in place.
I love his voice - but not on certain songs or in certain keys.

nabonidus,

Just dropping by to let you know a few words on show-biz:

1)You are in control of your music, when the fans want you. You have the control.

2)Never put yourself at the mercy of your fans, never lose that control. If your fans say they won't like you any more, bugger 'em, you can always find new fans!

3)Put yourself out there, hold your head high, and don't be afraid to walk out if it isn't what you want. There is no reason you can't pick and choose.

Just ask Pete, he doesn't seem to take any shit! :D
