My 3rd piece...

Ok, here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0eFFTYFRnrA

The video is supposed to play here:

It's up at Maria's, after determining that my computer is up to some mischief.
Which is why my attempts didn't work.:(
The 3rd piece of mine, after an almost all day attempt to get this thing up.
Maria made the most beautiful video for me to accompany my piece. She captured the joy I was feeling. I also had said that this was my most musically precocious piece, that's true. I'm actually very pleased with this one. In one sense I did try to make this one complex. Musically. Tech wise, noooo , hehe ;)
It took two tries , two sittings, before I really got the hang of things.

*note* This was guitar, vocals, and my own hand claps and drum rolls. I focused more on the piece itself contrasting and flowing properly and consistently. I literally recorded this right into the front of my computer without previously recording anything! And yet I was concentrating on 50 trillion notes and contrasts. :) I love it.

Aw, damn, I see what you mean!
I feared it might be such but thought I'd really had the problem finally fixed ( else I wouldn't have tooted my own horn like this, hehe).
Thanks for letting me know! :)

Hope you get it worked out, I would like to hear it. Good for you for even figuring out to get a video and music thing up on your blog!! I'll check back.

Yeah, I can't see it either. :(

Yes, a haircut...finally. It was almost down to my waist, and felt so heavy and gave me headaches when I'd put it up. How annoying. Anyway, now it's nice and light, but still with length. I'll definitely go back to that hairstylist! He was great.

I had bangs when I was a kid and teenager, but have long since gotten rid of them. My hair grows so fast that I had to cut them myself every 2 weeks! :)

Ah Lisa, it's not working here either. I believe Maria used YouTube and just a photo as a 'video' for one of hers. It works fine that way.

Looking forward to hearing your very own and personal piece!

Yay, now it works fine! Was bloody troublesome I must say.

I'm rather happy with the video: I didn't intentionally select specific photos for specific parts of the piece, but they seem to fit the moods all the same!

Yeah!!! Woohoo! It just didn't want to load, I told you about those stop showing error messages, etc.
You did a damned fine job Maria!
I love the interjection of certain photos at certain times, such as the fireworks etc. You really did capture the changes so well. :)
Thanks!

These rolling piano scales that form the core and the rhythm of the piece, are wonderful, as well as the completely different part ca. two thirds into the piece which doesn't have the scale.

Heheh I didn't know what to call it,

Aw, thanks Grace! That made my night!
I meant to reply last night but fell asleep.;)
I should thank Maria again, too, for the stunning visuals.;) The first 20
seconds or so are piercing, I admit. The Method raises the pitch there at first.
So I appreciate your listening though it! :)xoxo

Hi Lisa,
Sounds great! I love the visuals that are going along with it, Maria did a good job with that.

I've only done one sitting. Although I was able to figure out how to do the sitting, it did mess up when I was trying to create my own rhythm with the mouse. I had to go back to start over on the rhythm, but I think it messed up on the sounds cause I picked out a guitar, bass, and drum sound, but I ended up with piano. Unless it just throws in piano for every song, I do not recall picking out a piano sound.
On the flipside, my song does sound good. If I can figure out how to post an mp3, I'll let you hear my first song.

I forgot to add:
Thank you for watching Tom Morello's video! I was going to tell you about it this morning. I'm glad that you like it, his album just came out today. He calls himself The Nightwatchman, and the album is called One Man Revolution.

words, I swear. Thank you. :)
Aw, I appreciate everyone listening through it, you too, Metal, and Gina.I know it's it's a little "pitchy" in the first few seconds, (hehe...I've heard that word thrown around on American Idol:)
Thanks so much for the encouragement, everyone!
Now if only I could get a free sitting. I only now feel like I have a clue about it. Maybe. ;)

I get the most overwhelming sense of peace when I listen to this and watch the slideshow. Lovely piece, Lisa! Thanks for sharing it with us. :-)

And Maria is damn good photographer! She seems to specialize in backlit subjects.
