More Feelings Of Joy...

Songs are like audio puzzles to me, puzzles made of sound, and I love working these puzzles. Because there is a beauty and symmetry in putting the pieces together and having them fit. :)
And when they fit together, the payoff is...pure joy. :)
Partly for this reason I am really enjoying the Method.
But the other part is that The Method makes it seem like an internal reading somehow, but almost like magic,
or fortune telling. Or astrology, perhaps, which is based on some sort of scientific perspective.

It almost seems like magic combined with technology, and it's fun!

And makes one have more questions, the same way magic does, actually.
"How'd they do that?" and "what does it mean?"
"Are they really reading my mind?"
Heheh...

Thanks for The Method, Pete! It's wonderful! :D

I'll join in the thanks whole-heartedly!! Ever since I first read about it, when I first heard about the Lifehouse, I've been wishing it to happen for real. And now it has!

Another thing I'm fascinated about is the variation in the music. My first piece has the altering main theme plus all kinds of small, beautiful and wonderful side themes and pieces of melody and everything. The second piece is simpler and sort of more sparse.

Aha! This is a great description for your first piece, mine kinda had the same thing! As in little side themes, and changes in melody, etc.

And now I am really thinking about
the next piece, afa what I want to capture. But who knows what it will sound like, eh?

One thing I'm curious: is the piano - or piano sound - prominent in your piece? Or do you have perhaps guitar sounds? I'm just curious what kind of instruments there are in the software to form the "core" of the piece. My first and third have piano, the second is more synthetizator based.

Hmm...listening again right now...
starts off kinda synth sounding, almost orchestral, violin, and then..some sort of little counter song comes in, a different instrument, not quite identifiable
then it starts lifting more...
It's indescribable! Ooh! The chiming and cheerful parts coming now!

I just don't know what instruments are being used, because there does indeed seem like there are different instruments.

There is literally something that sound like a xylophone in my song, and it's making me smile every time I hear it. :)

Ooh, xylophone! I was trying to identify one thing in the second piece. That's it!

Aha!
I love it. I love that little xylophone coming in.
You could see why it would be cheerful sounding to me. :)

Hi Lisa,
I just sat for my third piece...and I don't have time...but, I will be late for something...ha ha..bad me, I know!

My first two pieces were, in a word, "frantic". There was no piano (re: Maria's question).
However, I picked slide guitar, harmonica, and spainish guitar for my sounds. My voice, was my speaking voice. I don't understand the rhythm part...to me, it sounds like a life support machine??

My third piece is actually lovely...I sang this time, and I choose the spainish guitar, the ocean and the piano!

My first two pictures were (1) me and my daughters, (2) just me. The last upload was my whole family (husband and children). I wonder what effect the visuals really have???

I think that the piano just makes for a prettier piece.

OK, off to bed with me, or I will be absolute sh** in the morning....

I'll be back for more...xo

Yeah! Sue! :D
Thanks for inspiring me with this!
An absolutely inspiring post! Seriously, I'm glad I haven't yet done the 2nd song because I'm wondering more about the sounds available.
Yours sound wonderful, actually! Piano, you and your family,
the ocean, and singing, yep. Sounds beautiful. I wish I could hear but I know these are all personal and
private, and I'm not sure about that legally, either.
Most excellent post, Sue.I'm glad you came and caught this. :)
xoxoLisa

That is the thing too! Everyone's musical pieces are their own, unique and personal, and no one else has music exactly the same!

I have one sitting left, as you know.
Wish I had more! :)

Hi Nab (and others)... so fun (and kinda voyeuristic (as Pete would say) to "sit in" on these discussions of your "sittings."
:-)

Was it a lot of work to input the data?

Could some of you share these pieces with us soon? :-)

Overjoyed for you!

- Lucy.

Hi Lucy!
I would love to share some of it!
We're trying to figure that out.If it's "legal* or not.
But just so you know, it was easy, easy, easy! To put in your parts of music. Coming from me that says something!
My second song I love, I literally was experimenting with handclapping! lol :)
Wish I could get a "coupon" for a couple more portraits! :P
I do have one left and also I'm lucky I had any, I know. :)

There is no need to apologize, I was simply trying to calm things down in there. No harm done. I shall delete your post over on my blog however because Dan reads there. Hope you are well. Gotta turn in.

Heheh, I didn't mind if Dan read it, but that's ok.
He reads here too sometimes, or did.
;)
All I said was that I'd already apologized to Dan and I'd not known if he forgave me. So I don't think it's anything too bad that he couldn't see. ;)
