computer down

I think it's my video card-I'm on a neighbors computer,a laptop.
I can only hope that it wasn't a sabotage, like before. I'm not certain it's the video card, but it's a guess based upon certain things. Don't know what I can do to
fix it, I'm broke, for one.:(
I can't check my email right now.

Lisa,

Not sure if you'll be able to read this soon, but your internet service provider, Cox, appears to have webmail. If you can get to a computer, you *should* be able to read your emails using the webmail:

http://webmail.west.cox.net/

Then you can see the following:

Username: ......@cox.net
Password: ..........

You need to type what comes before @ in the username bit and your usual password in the password bit. Then you should be able to read the same emails as by the usual method you view emails.

Unfortunately I don't know that many things on the videocard issue , other than checking in the insides to make sure that there are no cables or such disconnected or poorly connected :-(. I know it may feel difficult to disturb people like this, but it did come to mind that maybe you could ask in the neighbourhood whether any of them knows about computers and could take a look at it, or have friends who could do it.

On getting to a computer in the meantime: apart from borrowing the neighbour's laptop, is your local/closest public library equipped with computers that are available for the customers to use and to access the net for free? Here the libraries usually have them. If so, that might be a good thing. You try to do walking every day in any case, so that would give extra cause to go out.

Been there!

I relied on on the stellar Ginab, and she she helped me relay thoughts to the blogs while I was friskilly and frantically resurrecting my sorry PC.

Hi Lisa,
I hope you're doing OK! I haven't been blogging lately since I've been busy.

I know how much it sucks when your computer's down, it feels like you're cut off from the world!

I'll see you when you're back again.

Take care.

Hi Lisa,
hope it's all OK with you and your PC. If some technical things are fade away, first we feel what we need. I need no telephon, no TV, but I need my laptop and my CD player and ...

Take care an give us a sign.

Love and peace
Stefan

Lisa

It's been a while. I hope all is well and that your lack of posting is nothing more serious than a computer connection. I don't think I've seen you post on Rachel's blog for a while either.
