Starting from Square One...
So the hard drive was wiped out. I'm lucky I was able to check in here and announce the
computer problems when I did. This is literally my first chance to email or be online since then.
Turns out I had seriously understated the problems.
I am starting from square one. There could be some retrieval but even there
I'm not entirely certain. In any case, I'm finally online again.Woohoo! And I hope it's not temporary(again)!
I hope everyone is well and happy.:)

Welcome back.
Sometimes, a clean fresh start is nice, but I have backed up my writing on CD jut in case. ;)
Cheers,
AM
Backup? What's that? ;)
Seriously though, I had nothing backed up. Didn't know how to do that. Didn't know anything about it. Yep. Actually, I still don't. And I'm starting to think about taking a computer class.
So that probably explains more about just why it's taken so long to get back online. And why so limited.
But it's so nice to see you AM!I've missed you . :) xoxo
Yes, welcome back Lisa!
I hate that! Always a good excuse for a new and improved computer I must admit. You may be able to have a shop piggy back the drive in. That's saved me the trouble of scrambling through my CD backups several times. I swear they make them to last about 3 years max. Just copy your files to your CD writer, its not too different than copying to a floppy... (what's a floppy- hard to find nowdays!?) Writing to a CD is easy with Win XP which probably came with your new system. Always keep double backups to CD's though - the media is not all too dependable and some CD's burn better than others. Its takes a bit of experimentation.
Hi Lisa,
Good to have you back! Forget the CD's! there are flash devices that can store a lot more than CD's. I think Gary had mentioned his business that makes those devices, you should check it out.
Hi Alecia and Metal!xoxo!
It's been awful, not being able to stay caught up with anything. And I have to check into these things that you both mention. The flash thing and the CD writing. I can't have this again. The loss. I just didn't know.
Anyway, on the bright side, I managed to get my ticket for the Who- Hollywood Bowl.
And it was a lucky fluke enabled me to get it! Woohoo! :)
Congratulations on getting tickets! That was the show I was going to go to, but you probably already know that I can't go. :(
There's always next year, I hope.
Lisa, I'm glad you're up and big 'yeah' for the Hollywood Bowl!!! I think Chris Capp is attending that show.
I've been wiped out a few times. Still sticking to it, as long as 'it' sticks to me I guess.

Hi Ginab! xoxo!
Yep, it's been a dark time for me and I'm only now starting to pull out of it.
I have to remember the Hollywood Bowl! Although I'm sorry for the ones that couldn't get tickets. :(
