The chords for Dancin'Days...
Originally made this clip for Gary, so that he could see the chords. But then I thought,"Why not let anyone else see?" I'm self-conscious about my fingers because as Gary knows, when I was a little kid 1 and 1/4 of my fingers got cut off. My mom grabbed the appendages and rushed me to the hospital. They sewed them back on, and voila! I can hold the strings down. But my pinky is too short for a lot of chords. As it is, my ring finger is short, too. Remember, they were sewn back on.So it's even a miracle that I even have fingers! :)
My mom later told me that she was freaking out because it was my ring finger, that I would wear my wedding ring on.It was a stump. Good thinking on my Mom's part to grab it
and go! And the lack of ice even helped! I don't think you are supposed to wrap severed appendages in ice, just for reference.Anyway. Heheheh...

I still think this web cam thing is dead cool. It's like sitting across the table from you.
I tried ordering a cam for this Presario but the system is too old. BUT, I'm getting a new CPU in a week, so excited! Tweeked for music and loaded with Windows XP so I'll be able to get a cam! YIPPY!!
Then I'll probably have a bunch of how to questions for ya! :-)

I thought you were good. Didn't notice the fingers though;). My fingers are naturally short and I cannot play the piano as I always wanted to. Oh well.

You keep doing what you're doing!
You're good!!!

Hi Lisa,
I really like the opening chords (also my favourite part of the song itself), and I also didn't notice the fingers. I think we as individuals are so much more aware of our flaws than anyone else.

Cheers,

I must say, I didn't notice the fingers either. (Now I'll be really looking!!!) But, as I said to gary after his fairly recent accident, it didn't stop Tony Iommi!

I'm with ticharu on this whole web cam thing. It would be cool to have one at the end of each day when working on a painting in much the same way as you've done it to chart the progress of a song.

Thanks everyone! It isn't easy for me to talk about my hands. It's embarassing to play leads in front of people.
But afa the webcam, it's rad. I like it, too.
I've got some other ideas knocking around in my mind...

Oh well you're fingers look totally fine. Even if your fingers werent sewn back on you'd just be like Garcia, which I don't believe is a bad thing, eh?
Great song. Houses Of The Holy is a fabulous album in my opinion.

I told Nabonidus before that she's the reason I'm getting into webcams.

Same here, I never noticed the fingers either.

I had a teacher in high school who played guitar and he was missing all his finger tips like Iommi.

Hey, that's true, Andy! I remember!
I'm going over a couple of different ideas for a song, etc. I have an interesting but very daring idea which
I'm not sure I want to divulge yet. Not sure if it could work right. I'm also thinking about getting a friend to come help me to get set up
with recording over here. So it'll be happening soon. :)

Hey Lisa - honestly, I would never know anything had happened to your finger if you hadn't said so. It sounds great!! How did that accident happen when you were a kid??? What an awful thing for a kid to go through!

My cat Sam is driving me crazy this morning sitting in front of the monitor and meowing for attention (so subtle! LOL!) and I played your video and he stopped dead and was fascinated by seeing it on the screen and hearing the sound. He's still sniffing the screen, trying to figure out who's in there! LOL!!

Hehe, what a story. Though obviously fingers getting cut is not at all funny. But your mom being worried about the wedding ring issue!

Yeah, I kinda thought that was funny, too. :)
Although of course when I got married I was happy not to have a stump! lol

I think your smiling face at the end of this video clip should be your photo on your profile!
