I figure the people that already hate me and are lurking are going to hate me even more after seeing this. :)

Yes! How dare you touch the song! It is a sacrilege and you are a heretic!

:D

Anyway, you really got the training session rolling, great to see! I remember you had the old crappy guitar when you tried it last. Feeling better with this one?

Yep, much better, loving the Peavey!
I actually did this really cool harmony thing with it in another clip
but a damned plane flew low overhead and ruined it.>:(
Also I am going to possibly do this song in two parts, one half and then the other half. And add the high voice in the background. It really did sound kind of pretty in the "I sit looking round" part.
But yep, I expect possible crap for this. Or else people might at least understand that I cared enough and loved this song enough to try, who knows? :)

If I was a musician and someone cared about my song so much that wanted to learn and record it, I'd consider it a homage!

Me too, Maria! What is it, " Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery?" ;)

Hehe, the very word of "flattery" speaks of dishonesty to me, but perhaps imitation is the least dishonest form :)

Seriously speaking, anyone can say "ooh, I love this song" but few go to the trouble of actually learning to sing or play the song in question. So actually learning to play it is a great sign of dedication.

But, thinking of it...if I was Pete I'd rather have some people stay away from my songs. Remember the Belle & Sebastian cover of Kids Are Alright? *shiver*

You know, you're right about the word "Imitation" it does seem to have a negative connotation.
Heheh, how can I ever forget Belles and Sebastian, OMG. My eardrums are scarred from that experience. :)
I almost fell over writhing in agony
with that now unforgettable experience. lol Ok, maybe I exaggerate, but only a little. :)

I'm sure Pete would be so very proud if he heard people playing his music with such passion. Well done!

Aw thanks, Gary! And you were there for the first tentative tries and in fact helped me learn the chords...
So you know for a fact this is an improvement!:D

Of course Pete LOVES it.
Put yourself in his position.
Wouldn't you just adore it, that people adored you?
I'm not saying we need it to survive, or that he needs it, but how could it not flatter a person! (to be adored) :)
It's fun singing along with you!

OMG Sue, that's what I was hoping!
That people would sing along watching it, I really did think of that! That's sooo cool...Thanks for saying that! :) xoxoxoLisa

Lisa,
who cares about the hating lurkers, and wouldn't that make a great name for a band?

I like the two part thingie. My favourite part of Bargain is the Pete moment (of course). I thought you did fine, kiddo.

Verification word: xuxny
Wouldn't xuxny make a great adjective?
