I've Lost 22.5 Pounds! :D

Granted, I had some help from my nerves being shot recently, but I've lost the 20 pounds that I'd gained last year!
Let's see, calculating when I first began trying to lose the weight...4, 5 months ago? So that would average to what, a few pounds a month? Perfect! I noticed a slow but steady loss, ending in a bigger loss this week. Actually, I should re-weigh myself. It was last night that I weighed myself...22.5 pounds! Woohoo!!! :D :D :D :D :D 22.5!!!
I wasn't perfectly thin to begin with, so that 20 I gained last year was the last thing I'd needed. And I need to lose more still. As it is I'm now confident enough to wear a bikini top and cutoffs. I'll never be a twig, so I'm not trying for perfection. And I'll never wear a thong, so I don't have to worry about that.Hehe.:)
Well, anyway. I'm not perfect but I'm happy about my recent 22.5 pound weight loss!Yeah!!!

Woohoo, that's great!! I remember you were pessimistic about losing the extra some time back. See, wasn't so difficult! Well, something good about your never being shot. Might have required more work without that ;)

To add: thank godness you'll never be a twig (as, btw, me neither). I don't think women look pretty if they're skin and bones thin.

Thanks Maria! Yeah, I'm not a fan of the twig look either. The bag of bones
thin.
I hope I can lose a little more though. Not to be compulsive or anything.

Hi Nabonidus,
That's good, I could never be a twig and I don't want to be one either. Congratulations, I'm trying to lose weight myself and it isn't easy for me.

Lisa,
That's wonderful news. You can tell, actually, by looking at your profile pic- your face looks leaner and longer.

I'm glad you reached your goal, but I'm sorry it took a shooting down of nerves to help it happen.

Cheers,
AM

Hey, congratulations! A healthier you is a wealthier you. (I feel like I sound like a housewife from the fifties!).

Oh, by the way, there's no such thing as a perfect twig. I pick these up and out of the way so often just so Bea Bea won't munch on them...they're always knobby and punctured (for starters). Imperfect, as things should be.

Whatever makes you feel whole, you look great.

Aw, thanks Metalchick, Anne Marie and Gina!
Yep,AM ,these current profile pics were posted specifically for that reason-they show the current loss. Not the best pics though-I have spots on me forehead! Ugh!

And I do wish it hadn't been a case of nerves that has helped it. But there really is a silver lining to clouds! :) xoxoxoLisa

YAY, LISA!! Good for you! You must feel great!

I totally agree with Maria - twig is not a good look for anyone, In fact, most men like a woman with a little 'meat on her bones', as my husband says. *L*

Wow. I haven't visited in a while and I see I've missed a lot. I've been pretty darn busy. That's a lot of weight. Congratulations. And hey, a twig is NOT perfection, by the way!
Girl. I don't want your nerves shot. You sound like you are being strong though. Take care!!!!

Perfection is a fleeting illusion anyway Lisa. Being close to the correct body weight just makes sense for your health and if you feel better you'll be happier generally and yeah, like that!
Actually, I haven't been around much lately, my blogger time is shorter in the summer, but I can see from your photo a difference! You look GREAT!
