10 Things I Would Never Do...

1. Get involved with a married man or someone that is in a known committed relationship. If someone's relationship is going to fall apart with another person, it's going to do so on it's own, not with me as participant in it's destruction. I'll not ever wreck love (or especially a family!)if I can help it.
2. I'll not turn my back on a close friend unless they aren't my friend anymore. Which means that I'll not turn my back on a close friend. They will have had to do something really awful to lose my friendship. I'm loyal to people that I consider to be my friends.
3. I would never torture an animal. I had to amend this because I would kill an animal for food, possibly.Even then, under very specific and harsh circumstances. Otherwise, I'd never kill an animal. So I had to amend this to "I'd never torture an animal."
Because I definitely would never do that. On the hypocritical side of the coin, I would freak out if I ever caught someone torturing an animal. I think I could kill a human being, or at least be violent in certain circumstances if I had to. Actually, If I came home and caught someone killing or torturing MY animals, I could kill them. I probably would try somehow. This isn't a good subject. Let's try to come up with something more cheerful...
4. I won't steal. I never steal, I don't, I won't. Not a thief. And I *HATE* when people have stolen from me, in my life.
5. I would never be disrespectful to the elderly, and I'll not be impolite, in general.
6. I'll never eat ham. Yuck. I once read that it's the closest of meats to resembling human flesh. This only reinforced my revulsion. I do, however, like bacon! And some sausage! Go figure! :)
7. I'll never lie about the big stuff. And I try to never lie. I'll not be dishonest, let's put it that way. :)
8.I would never wear clothes with horizontal stripes on them. No explanation needed.;)
9.I would never say anything behind someone's back that I wouldn't say to their face.
10. I would never say never.;)

*Update on #10. I would never say never- except for 1.,2.,3.,5.
I do stand by those.:)

I very much agree on #1 - #5, #7, #9. And #10, that is a wise one. I mean, how can you say for certain that you wouldn't do something? Like you say, killing an animal for food. It's very difficult to imagine as modern city-dwellers in the western world are unlikely to end up in a situation where they would have to kill for food. And generally speaking, life is highly unpredictable. You'll never know for certain what comes ahead.

As for horizontal stripes. Yep, I could wear them in a nightie but that's about it. ;)

Then there's those "never will again" kinds of lists! ;-)

Admirable (your list) but I'm terrible safe from ever any of the what ever's on #3. No can do. Nope. Their's over mine...it's where I'm at. I can barely eat an egg!

Nice to say hi!!!

Whoa! I can relate to most of the stuff on this list, except for #6.

#1 and #2 I strongly relate on. There was a guy I met while working at McDonald's who I went out with for three weeks cause I thought he was my boyfriend, until I found out he was married, and had 7 kids! I asked him why he didn't tell me, and he said "Well, most women ask, don't they?" Idiot!

About #2, I am the same way with friends. Once a person is no longer my friend, I will completely ignore them like they don't exist. Just recently I have a best friend that I want to sever ties with because it dawned on me that she was never a good friend at all. At the same time she was telling me not to let people use me, she was using me to an extent. I also felt like I could not say no to her, even though she told me not to let people push me around. She is a hypocrite.

Sorry to go on about all that, I try not to do that too much, especially on other people's posts.

Of course you guys are good friends, even if I haven't met some of you yet, I can tell that you're for real.

Lol..."never will again " lists, eh Gina? Oh boy.;)
And I understand about not being able to do #3. It's an unpleasant thought, let's not think of it anymore! xoxo

And Metal, I totally relate to what you are saying, afa the friendship thing. The toxic -friend. Frenemy?
Heheh. I spent too long in relationships with toxic-friends, finally got rid of them and things got a lot better. It's still better to be alone than to be with toxic people. That's where I'm at right now, basically. Hang in there, you know what's right in your heart.xoxo

I totally agree with your animal thing. I don't know what I'd be capable of if I came in and someone was hurting my animals!

Oh, gross on the pork thing...I had never heard that! While I'm not too fond of pork chops, bacon is one of my favourite things. Go figure. :)

Now, I'm not saying anything bad here, but... if you're willing to eat bacon, should it not go hand in hand with feeding the animal, giving it shelter, then murdering the trusting soul and feasting on their body parts? I mean, you know? :)

Lisa,
You nailed it! That is exactly the type of friend that she was. My life was just fine until she was my friend, but now that she's gone, now things are back to normal and I'm even stronger than ever.

12/12, thank you so much for your very sweet, lovely comments. Today was a bit sad, can't help remember what Queenie went through a year ago - briefly - she ended up at UC Davis, Vet. Teaching hosp. in ICU, paralyzed from the waist down, turned out she had 2 types of cancer, in her heart, spleen, lunges and in her hind end. poor thing, anyway, enough of that. Thank you
